Abstract

In this webinar, Dr. Harteveld will discuss the basic construction, genetic and inheritance of hemoglobin and hemoglobinopathies. His talk will help you understand the clinical impact of several hemoglobinopathies and the importance of prevention and management. Concluding the webinar, Dr. Harteveld will review and demonstrate the use of the three part flowchart of Hemoglobinopathy screening. Using several high-complexity examples of clinically significant hemoglobinopathies, and including Capillary Electrophoresis and HPLC techniques.
